Siemens e.cam Dual Head Gamma Camera

The Siemens e.Cam gamma camera is one of the most widely used gamma cameras in the world. Siemens E.Cam gamma-cam has been offered in four different models by Siemens.
Single-Head Gamma Camera or E.cam Single-Head Gamma Camera .
– The e.cam Dual-Head 180° Gamma Camera is a dual-head or dual-head device in which two detectors are positioned at fixed angles.
– The e.cam Dual-Head Variable Angle Gamma Camera is a dual-head dual-head variable angle dual detector that offers 76, 90 and 180 degree variable angle positions allowing the system to optimize the sensitivity and power of the device for general studies of heart scanning, oncology, bone scanning, and neurology.
The technical specifications of the Siemens e.Cam device are following.
The Siemens e.Cam is a large, rectangular device with dimensions of 53.3 cm x 38.7 cm with 59 PMT per detector.
The crystal material used in Siemens e.Cam system is sodium iodide with a thickness of 9.5 mm and dimensions of 44.5 x 59 cm. The maximum detectable energy is 511 kV (FDG radiopharmaceutical energy used in PET scanning). Shielding detectors are designed to power up to 400 kV.
The maximum load of the bed is 180 kg for the patient. And the maximum bed speed is up to 50cm per minute.
